(1) Dedication of song performance to Yellow Ribbon Alumni Band’s late lead singer, Leowolf The late singer’s mother, Mdm, Hasnah, attended the event as a special guest and cried as she was gifted with a flower from a member of the organizing committee.
The title of the song is ‘Love Can Heal’, written by the late Mohammad Ayub Bin Mohd Tahi (aka Leowolf)(1975 to 2022), who is a member of the Yellow Ribbon PAC Alumni Band. The song was produced by Intune Music, and supported by Yellow Ribbon Singapore.
This song carries the message that we can all shine a light into someone else’s life, and chase away the darkness that surrounds them. In writing this song, Leowolf was inspired by the unconditional love shown to him by his mother, Mdm Hasnah. (2) Surprise wedding proposal by one of the finalists
Stanley Ho and Cheryl Tay
Finalist Stanley Ho, 27, had prepared for a wedding proposal to his girlfriend of 9 years, Cheryl Tay, for months, working with the Organisers to prepare a perfect wedding proposal.
During the judges’ deliberation of the winners, Stanley and the rest of the finalists went through a carefully choregraphed routine, leading to the final reveal of the words
“WILL YOU MARRY ME?” carried in placards held by his fellow finalists.
There was not a dry eye in the house when she said “YES’ and the Grand Ballroom of the One Farrer Hotel erupted into rapturous applause.
