May, 2015 (Singapore) – ME@OUE, Singapore’s leading open-kitchen concept restaurant and lounge, invite diners to take in spectacular views of the city as they tuck into dishes influenced by local favorites such as chili crab in commemoration of SG50. Each Saturday from 11th July until 9th of August, the restaurant will expand its menu to include SG50 specials, where they present their pick of some of the Lion City’s favorites but with ME@OUE’s distinct twists. Celebrity Chef Chen Kentaro, renowned for his Sichuan dishes, recommends his Chili Lobster. Three succulent Lobsters will be prepared in a thick, piquant sauce made with Japanese vinegar, ginger, eggs and Japanese leek. Only slightly distinct from the traditional chili crab sauce, this dish will still have a bit of kick and will be enhanced with a crunchy texture from the leeks and spring onions. The golden fried mantou (bun) is the perfect accompaniment and great for dipping into the rich sauce bursting with flavours. Price $180++ Serves 4 guests

Sweet and Sour Pork

Wok fried on high heat, guests will relish the flavours of the tender pieces of pork infused with the restaurant’s unique sweet and sour sauce. Using premium Japanese Momoiro Pink Pork, the tender and succulent meat is marinated overnight in a delectable sauce. The dish is completed with crunchy broccoli, diced bell peppers, and juicy pieces of pineapple. Price $120++ Serves 4 guests

Stir-fried Mee Sua with Sri Lankan Crab


The ME@OUE Chefs will serve the meaty 1.5kg Sri Lankan Crab with the delicate wheat flour noodles or mee sua. Mee Sua, traditionally stir-fried or served in a soup, is a must when celebrating auspicious occasions. Also known as the “longevity noodles”, Singaporeans will appreciate the golden mee sua prepared in superior stock. This Sri Lankan crab dish is further enhanced by the delicate flavours from bean sprouts, yellow chives and shallots. Price $198++ Serves 4 guests
