Singapore Cable Car’s 50 millionth rider, Mr Chuan Kai Liang, was identified today. Mr Chuan, a 40-year-old engineer was on a Sunday outing with family – his wife and two children – and received a most unexpected welcome at Faber Peak Singapore.
Mr Chuan said, “We made the decision this morning to make a trip to Mount Faber. My children Julian and Olivia have been asking us to take them on a ride on the cable car and we wanted to give them a surprise. Imagine our surprise to be the Singapore Cable Car’s 50 millionth rider! It was definitely unexpected. This is Olivia’s first time talking the cable car and I’m sure it is a memorable one for her.”
The Singapore Cable Car has been creating fond memories for 40 years with millions of local and international visitors who ride in the cabins and are treated to spectacular views, as they get up and away to Faber Peak at Mount Faber park, soar above the forest, highway and harbour to Sentosa Island, before flying to the many attractions inside Singapore’s resort island.
Suzanne Ho, General Manager of Mount Faber Leisure Group added, “The Singapore Cable Car has created millions of happy memories over the past 40 years. Our team of service ambassadors works passionately to curate memorable experiences every day. With this milestone, we are humbly reminded of our mission to get all our guests High on Happinesswhen they come to Faber Peak.”
As part of the prizes – worth more than S$2,000, Mr Chuan has automatically become a Faber Licence holder and will enjoy unlimited cable car rides and complimentary admission to Sentosa under the annual membership programme. Other treats include a 3D2N stay at the Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa and a special hamper filled with Singapore Cable Car memorabilia.
Mr Chuan and his family will also be invited to join in Faber Peak Singapore’s fun-filled Year-end Celebrations. This includes rides on any of the four decorative designs inside the fleet of cabins on the Mount Faber Line, tucking into hearty, specially curated festive menus at Faber Peak Singapore’s two restaurants-with-a-view and being serenaded by spectacular fireworks.
